How to Play Never Have I Ever Over Text
- Everyone starts with 10 points. You can keep score in the chat or use a simple tally. Each player texts their current score when it changes.
- Players take turns texting a "Never have I ever..." statement. It should be something you genuinely have never done.
- Anyone who HAS done that thing loses a point and has to own up to it in the chat. If nobody has done it, the person who asked loses a point instead.
- Keep rotating turns. The last person with points remaining wins. Or just play until the confessions get too good to stop.
Rules
- You must be honest. The whole game falls apart if people lie about their experiences.
- Your statement must be something you genuinely have never done. No making things up to target someone.
- If nobody in the group has done the thing, the person who said it loses a point for picking a boring one.
- Keep statements fun and lighthearted. Agree on boundaries before you start playing.
- If someone loses a point, they can be asked one follow-up question about the story. Then move on.
Example Conversation
You

Them
...guilty 😴 I'm at 9
You

Them
it was a 3 hour director's cut. I don't wanna talk about it. ok MY turn. never have I ever pretended to laugh at a joke I didn't get
You
ok yeah that's me. 9 points. I do it like twice a week honestly
Them

You

Tips & Variations
- Start with safe, funny statements to warm up. Save the spicier ones for later when everyone's comfortable.
- Play the "reverse" version: "I have done..." and anyone who HASN'T done it loses a point. Flips the whole dynamic.
- In a group chat, add a rule where the person who loses a point has to share the story behind it in at least two sentences.
- Keep a "hall of fame" of the best confessions that come out during the game. They make for great inside jokes later.
